No idea what this is going to be, but here's how it opens... comments and suggestions welcome.
Wispy clouds mottled the dusky purple sky, the sun piercing their depths with lighter hues contrasting with those that marked the coming of night. A wind, warmed by the sun-kissed plains inland, drove the clouds onward into the coming darkness over the sea, veiling the rising twin moons just cresting over the tops of the pine forest.

Done with the last midterm before the break. Tomorrow is Pi Day, and all seems set for my girlfriend and I to go skiing/snowboarding with part of my family. I'll probably take the time in between schoolwork to continue working on two projects, one of which has been in my comp since the start of the term and contains some pre-heroic adventures of my halfling rogue, Sul Bremmen (I know it's not a halfling surname...), and the other is one I'll be starting is a story involving my original Star Wars character: Doran Beck.
... but that's besides the point. University demands so much of my time that I just want to show it what for... Damned books... expensive and heavy... and boring... so very boring...
Anyways, I joined a group and it's pretty awesome.
I'm an artist appreciator, not an artist myself because I feel that my own work is enough to have some get a court order to never let me touch pencil to paper again.
Despite this, I do write some. Mostly short fiction inspired by TV shows, movies, and video games. Some of it that I've shown around has gotten some appreciation, so I might put some more of my work up as I get it to the point that I'm somewhat satisfied with it.
